How does it work with Quotient?

Lookup Capsule Contacts
When adding Contacts to Quotes, include Capsule Contacts in lookup results.

Send emails to Capsule
Send a copy of new Quote and acceptance emails to a Contact in Capsule. These are the emails that go directly to your customer, so it's handy to have a copy for reference right in Capsule with a link back to the quote.

Create Quotes from within Capsule
You can add a time-saving link within Capsule to create a new Quotient Quote.

Connect to Capsule

  1. Click on your Account Name (on the top-right of your Dashboard), then go to Account Settings → Connected Apps → Capsule.
  2. Hit Enable for one of the services you require i.e. Lookup Contacts.
  3. Enter the web address of your Capsule account, then hit Continue.
  4. Login, and click Allow. You’ll be redirected back to Quotient.
  5. Hit Enable for any other services you require.

Lookup Capsule Contacts

Hit ‘Enable’ under 'Lookup Contacts', confirm and hit ‘Enable’.

  • When adding Contacts to Quotes, include Capsule Contacts in lookup results.
  • Capsule Contacts are indicated with a Capsule logo.
  • Once you select a Capsule Contact it will be saved (copied) into Quotient Contacts. Note: Only a person's name, email and company name are saved.

Send emails to Capsule

Hit ‘Enable’ under ‘Send emails to Capsule’, enter your Capsule drop box email address into the ‘Capsule email address’ field, hit the ‘Save’.

  • A copy of New Quote and Accepted Quote customer emails will be sent via BCC.
  • A new Contact will be created in Capsule if it does not exist.

Where to find your Capsule drop box email address:

  1. Sign in to Capsule.
  2. Select My Preferences (under your name, top right).
  3. Hit 'Mail Drop Box'.

To allow Quotient to send emails to your Capsule drop box you’ll need to add mail@quotientapp.com to the appropriate user’s Capsule account.

To do this, follow these steps in Capsule:

  1. Click on your name in the top menu bar.
  2. Select My Preferences > Preferences > Edit contact details.
  3. At the top right of your profile, hit Edit.
  4. Under Email Addresses, click + Add another email address.
  5. Enter mail@quotientapp.com and hit Save.

If you have Custom Domains for Email enabled, you won't need to add mail@quotientapp.com to your Capsule account, as emails will be sent to Capsule from your email address.

Create quotes from Capsule

You can start a new Quote directly from Capsule by setting up a handy time-saving link. By doing this it can save you time by jumping you straight into a new Quote with relevant details populated.

Add a generated link in Capsule:

TIP: Be sure to also enable contact lookups for best results.

For a Contact

  1. Sign in to Capsule and go to Account Settings > Custom Fields
  2. Click Add New > Generated Link
  3. Give it the label: new Quotient Quote
  4. Set the Link Definition to: https://go.quotientapp.com/new-001/quote?email={email}
  5. Click Save

For a Project

  1. Sign in to Capsule and go to Account Settings > Custom Fields
  2. Switch to the Projects tab
  3. Click Add New > Generated Link
  4. Give it the label: new Quotient Quote
  5. Set the Link Definition to: https://go.quotientapp.com/new-001/quote?title={name}&email={email}
  6. Click Save

For an Opportunity

  1. Sign in to Capsule and go to Account Settings > Custom Fields
  2. Click Add New > Generated Link
  3. Switch to the Opportunities tab
  4. Give it the label: new Quotient Quote
  5. Set the Link Definition to: https://go.quotientapp.com/new-001/quote?title={name}&email={email}
  6. Click Save
